Plasma cutting is a process that cuts through electrically conductive materials by means of an accelerated jet of hot plasma. Normetas focuses mainly on steel cutting, although other conductive metals may be cut as well.
Normetas performs sheet metal cutting with two CNC plasma cutting machines.The process is cheaper than laser cutting while retaining relatively high quality of the cuts.It is especially cost effective for thick metal sheets (10 mm and higher) in comparison to alternatives like laser cutting.In addition to standard sheet metal cutting, it is possible to cut holes into H beams which are of standard construction quality. This is a cheaper alternative to milling.
